How I Asked My Bridesmaids

Let’s be real, most of your bridesmaids already know they’re going to be in your wedding. But you still have to ask and they have to agree. Being a bridesmaid is no easy task and you’re going to need those girls to help you get your shit together before the wedding. So why not do it in a fun, personal way?

The Shoes

I wanted to gift them something for being a part of my wedding that they could also wear on my wedding day. I figured providing these Badgley Mischka Tampa embellished heels was just one less thing they would have to worry about buying before the wedding! It was important to me I gave them a pair that would be both great for the wedding (& dressy enough since we are doing black tie) and one they could get more use out of for future formal events. I love that they will also be able to dress these down with a pair of boyfriend jeans or a skirt & t-shirt — now I need a pair!

I can’t take full credit though….I got this idea from my sister and her bridesmaids loved it, so I decided to do the same and put my own twist on it. She used Badgley Mischka for gifting her bridesmaids as well and once I saw the selection it was a no brainer. I fell in love with the Tampa embellished heel and I think my girls did to — everyone said YES! Once I received them, I literally gasped while unwrapping them. They’re even more stunning in person, but I mean what woman doesn’t love a pair of sparkly heels?

The Cards

I love to DIY and get crafty, pretty much any opportunity I get. It’s a way to add personal touches and assures you that you’re not going to find the same thing on the shelf in a store. I went to hobby lobby for all of my paper crafts to make the cards. I tried to get fancy with it by layering different textures, but a simple card would do as well.

It’s even more personal when you make the cards from scratch and come up with the words yourself. I stole part of this poem from something I saw on Pinterest and tweaked the words to be more my style. I also changed up the wording for my Matron of Honor and my future Sister in Law to make theirs a little more special.

A huge thank you to Badgley Mischka for providing my bridesmaids with the most stunning shoes. I know they all can’t wait to wear them on my special day!
