I’ve been getting asked about my “Lob” {aka long bob} quite often lately, so I figured I’d do a post on what inspired me to take the plunge. If you’re new to the blog, well…my hair has been LONG (as in past my boobs long) majority of my life but since I color it so often it got really thin, damaged, stringy…need I go any further? No. Okay, so I had a serious self-pep talk and finally came to the realization that I will never have long, thick, fine locks like the stunning Amber of Barefoot Blonde (mega babe + mom goals + dreamy boho hair goddess vibes). I also figured that if I stood the smallest chance at achieving these hair goals I would first need to chop it all off and start over. So, I finally did. I went for it. YOLO… right??
I couldn’t be happier with my decision to chop my hair. It takes me about half the time it used to for styling my hair and it feels so thick & full on the ends. The first question I get asked is, “where do you get your hair colored/cut?” and typically followed by, “I wish I could pull that haircut off” & “ugh, I want to so bad but don’t know if I have the guts to chop mine!” {If they only knew the anxiety I had about cutting it off & how happy I am with my decision, they’d do it too}. So if you’re thinking about cutting yours for summer, I totally recommend it. Here are a few images from Pinterest that are so lustworthy they helped me finally take the plunge. Next time I go in I think I’ll add a little more blonde since summer is basically here. Why not get an early start?
