If you saw my IG stories a few weeks ago, I did a mini Zara haul. My favorite purchases from my shopping-spree are my 2 high-waisted, wide-leg jeans. I’ve already worn them a few times since and am hooked. Since wide-leg jeans are making a comeback (about time), I’m sharing some of my favorites with you to shop and recommendations on how to pair them.
One of the things I love most about high-waisted denim is how comfortable they are (especially right now as I work to get back to my pre-baby body). Hence my next point, high-waisted and wide-leg jeans are also so flattering on every body type. They are versatile, as they can easily be dressed up or down for any occasion. I chose an elevated-casual look with my wide-leg denim, slightly tucked sweater, and white stiletto heels.
tops
You can pair just about any type of top with high-waisted jeans. If you have an oversized sweater or shirt, I recommend you tuck it in slightly in the front or on the side (you can also tuck it in all the way). This will give you more definition and show off that waistline!
Crop top style shirts and sweaters are also a great options for high-waisted jeans. They don’t show as much skin since your jean hits higher on your waist.
shoes
Once again, you can pair just about any shoe with these style jeans. The hem length of your jean may help dictate what type of shoe you wear. Since my jeans are much longer, I opted for a higher heel. I can also pair heeled booties, platform sneakers, or chunky heels with these jeans as well.
If you like a cropped wide-leg jeans, I recommend pairing a tight sock bootie. You can easily wear this with a band-tee or a nice sweater, depending on the occasion and look you’re aiming to achieve.

I hope this helps when you’re out on the hunt for your next pair of jeans. As always, if you have any questions or comments, please drop them in the comments below 🙂
