You’ve received your wedding invitation in the mail and now you’re faced with the dreaded question….WHAT TO WEAR TO A SUMMER WEDDING?! From the dress to the make-up & accessories, today I’m excited to be sharing my tips on guest attire for a Summer wedding.
First things first…the dress. Regardless of the attire (black tie, formal, or cocktail) for a Summer wedding, I always look for a dress with chiffon material because it will always be much lighter in weight. With sky high temperatures here in TX, heat is obviously a huge concern when getting all dressed up…especially if the ceremony is outside. Unless a full-length dress is required, I’m going for a cocktail dress every time. I found this gorgeous LBD (under $30) from Ever-Pretty Dresses that can be dressed up with pumps (as you see here) or dressed down with wedges for a more casual wedding. Bonus: you can also get multiple uses out of it wearing this dress for many occasions other than a wedding this Summer!
To complete my look….the make-up. I love a dewy/glowy look for pretty much any occasion, but I am a huge fan of this for Summer weddings. Nothing screams Summer like bronzed, glowing makeup! Since I went with a dark dress, I wanted to go light on the makeup to make sure I didn’t overdo it. This was my first time trying out the TEMPTU airbrush kit and I couldn’t be more obsessed. It truly gives your skin an airbrushed look and it’s super lightweight….perfect for a wedding out in the TX heat! They not only have foundations that make your skin look like photoshop perfection, but they also have highlighters, bronzers, and blushes as well. The airbrush has 3 different settings for the air intensity so you can put it on the low setting if you’re going for a natural look or trying to build the product up!
