Graphic Tees & Converse Kicks

I’m such a tomboy at heart, so I am definitely a fan of throwing on a graphic tank, my fave pair of tennishoes, and getting out the door quick. Yesterday, this is how I felt. I had some errands to run and things to get done. What else are sunday’s for? Converse are without a doubt my go-to pair of kicks. They go with everything!

I most frequently wear my black & white pair’s of converse (I’ve been really into b&w lately), but I have a wide variety of colors I’ve collected over some time now. I love dressing them up with a blazer, graphic tee, and vintage levi shorts….but I would say they are most ideal for when you have a lot of walking involved in your day. In my opinion they are the most comfortable tennis shoes, but more importantly they are so affordable! Once they have seen better days and it’s time to get a fresh new pair, it only runs you about $50 and then they last you a good while 🙂

Although I love the tomboy look, what lady wants to look too masculine? Yes..there is such a thing. We can’t be looking frumpy ladies. Too much bagginess going on will not be flattering to your figure. I like to borrow a little from the guys, just to give my feminine look a little bit of a masculine flare. This is why I paired my tank with a simple bodycon skirt. This skirt is so cheap but it has been great for pairing with graphic tees and loud printed blouse’s. Remember, when you’re out running errands you don’t want to look you’re trying too hard to impress. However, if you’re wearing your boyfriends XL t-shirt and your baggiest pair of boyfriend jeans, people are going to be wondering what on earth you’re hiding under all that baggage! Pairing your graphic tee or tank with a fitted skirt will show off your female curves and leave little imagination to the eye. We’re not trying to fake people out here..let’s keep it simple, sexy, chic!

Love this look! I’m also loving the ultra-chic uptown girl look. There’s a video about it on YouTube at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6NU0OZzyObU and I’m looking forward to rocking my new wardrobe this fall!
