Capri's First Birthday Party

Capri’s First Birthday Party was the absolute best; it meant the world to us celebrating with our family and friends. Such a special day and I can’t believe we have a ONE YEAR OLD!! Capri’s theme was Retro Smiley, which our party planner, Ciara Self from Bash Co, nailed. It was so much fun to see all of the ideas and vision come to life! The bounce house was a HUGE hit with all of the kids. Capri was living her best life and giggling like crazy. I had to crawl into the bounce house to get her off of it. She didn’t want to leave!

Another great addition to the space was adding a ball pit. The kids spent a lot of time laying and jumping into it, especially the little ones who weren’t as coordinated for the bounce house. I was really wanting an outdoor space that was also enclosed, but Place at Tyler ended up being the perfect spot to have this party. It was an open, blank canvas that gave us plenty of space for kids to run around and also do what we want with the space decor wise. Not to mention, it was absolutely pouring in Dallas that day so it came in very handy. Highly recommend this venue if you’re looking for something like that!

This table from The Style Affair was one of my favorite parts of the birthday party. The height of this table along with the cushions made it super kid-friendly. I also loved the fun place settings with the customized name for each kid. Everything tied together perfectly!

We love our little one year old and are so excited to see her as a big sister! At the end of the birthday party, we did a surprise gender reveal for the baby # 2. Revealing the gender over on Instagram this week!!

How fun is this cake display with the arch behind it? Another fun addition from The Styled Affair. These cakes were sooo cute and loved the simple stands with the arch.

The cotton candy stand may or may not have actually been for me. If you know me, you know I love sweets and cotton candy is at the top of my list. We actually served cotton candy stand at our wedding as well, so I couldn’t resist! And then of course, we had to make sure there was plenty of food 🙂 A huge shoutout to one of my OG followers, Ainsley Lopez, who has started her own charcuterie business (called La Tablera) and is killing it! You can book her for any events and I love her concept.

One more THANK YOU to all of our friends, family, and vendors for helping make Capri’s first birthday such a success. It meant the world to Kyle and I…..we will be reliving this day over and over!
