My list of 2019 goals is a long one, so I’ve broken it down into categories to make smaller goals more achievable. I have a handful of goals for my closet/wardrobe and one of them is to refine & update. As I started to incorporate WAY more color into my wardrobe this year, I feel like I got away from buying solid staples that would last me a long time. I have always been a proponent of this concept. So as Devon and I were purging my closet last week for the New Year, I tried to keep this in mind and we made note of the things I actually needed.
I have been using Stitch Fix monthly for the past 6 months and y’all know I’m a major fan. I’m absolutely blown away that they nail my style every time. I am EXTREMELY picky and hard to shop for (says everyone in my family), so the fact that I’m always happy with what they choose for me is a miracle.
**This post was brought to you in collaboration with Stitch Fix. All thoughts & opinions remain my own.
What is Stitch Fix and How Does it Work?
- Take the style quiz so they can get to know your preferences and what you’re interested in receiving (sizing, style preferences, fit, price point, what your lifestyle is like, etc)
- Get assigned a stylist that makes personalized selections based on your preferences
- Choose your frequency (monthly/weekly/as little or as often as you please)
- Box is delivered to your door
- Included in your box is a booklet with different ways to style the items included in your Fix
- Only pay for what you keep and send back whatever doesn’t work for you in the prepaid packaging
I’m sure some of you are wondering why I need something like this when I am technically a “stylist” myself. The answer is easy; sometimes I get burnt out on it just like everyone else does and look at my closet saying “I have nothing to wear”. I love that they put a few outfits together and even send a card insert with ideas on how to mix and match the outfits. It takes all the thinking out of getting dressed. And some days, I’m all about that.
So today I’m partnering with Stitch Fix for an update on my 2019 wardrobe. To help me get back to the basics — the essentials if you will. Here are the staples we added to my wardrobe to start the New Year off right:
- Long solid blazer
- Black denim
- Neutral printed blouse
- Neutral scarf
Have you ever tried Stitch Fix? I totally recommend it if you’re in need of a wardrobe refresh or if you’re just one that hates shopping/picking things out for yourself.
XO.
