Guest Room Update

It seems like the guest room is always the last on the priority list. Does anyone else feel this way? When we first moved in, the guest room was just where we put everything we weren’t using from our old places and it quickly became cluttered. Aside from Karen being panicked about the clutter situation, we also found out my sister & brother-in-law were going to move in with us for the month of September. The guest room naturally became a top priority and I wasn’t mad about it. I was really looking forward to getting rid of the junk and making the space look clean, yet homey for our guests.

I was so excited to be partnering with Urban Outfitters home again to spruce up another space in my house before they moved in. I wanted to keep it clean by focusing on black & white decor with little pops of blush pink and brass accents. These faux fur and velvet pillows were an obvious YES. They’re so soft and add that cozy feel to the room! Additionally, I wanted to add some fun little books like the read this if you want to be famous on Instagram book (it actually makes you LOL when reading it) and the What Youth Issue #18 book on the nightstand. As you can tell from this and this previous post, I’m a fan of Urban Outfitters because I can always count on finding both a mix of classic & quirky little accents for my home!

Due to the hurricane, we didn’t receive the artwork we got to go over the guest room bed but we are planning on framing this Tiny Dancer print for above the bed! I love the font and have always loved that song 🙂
