I’m a sucker for a good detail, so I died when I saw this cold shoulder lace trim dress with the broderie sleeves! This time of year I’m always on the hunt for lightweight dresses that are easy to throw on and don’t break the bank, but it’s always fun when you find one of those and they have details this good. Many of you know theres few things I like to splurge on, so when I’m looking for something very on trend at a lower price point, 9 times out of 10 I first look at the TOPSHOP selection. I mean… this dress is only $60 and will also work as a swim coverup for my Palm Springs trip in a couple weeks, double score!
If you follow me on Instagram you know I’ve been talking about how Kyle is currently working nights at his plant for 60 nights straight 🙁 Because of this he obviously sleeps during the day and works at night, so finding time for each other on flip-flopped schedules has been difficult, but we are over halfway through and making it work! He recently got two days off (hallelujah) so we decided to do an early day date downtown. Since it was daytime, casual was a must…. but I still wanted to do more than my usual jeans + a tee for a day of spending time with him. Of course it was the windiest day ever and because my dress wasn’t super long I wore this blush pink duster (with velvet pockets, omg) to avoid flashing innocent bystanders 🙂

Flowers are at the top of my list for FAVORITE THINGS EVER and if I’m getting picky (which I am, duh) white/blush pink roses are my second favorite flowers next to peonies (just came in season YESTERDAY ah!). Obviously he knows this by now, so he came prepared to our little day date downtown…the sweetest! Unfortunately we didn’t get any pics of us together, but we did manage to snap my outfit…lol always the priority. Welcome to the life of dating a style blogger, right? 😉
On a more serious note than I originally intended this post to be: I encourage you guys to find time for you & your partner to get out of your daily routine and go do something fun that you both enjoy…even if that routine is currently working 60 nights straight (including Sat & Sun), make it happen. A little quality time together is better than no time and that’s what keeps the hearts happy. xx
