There’s nothing more classic than a pinstriped button down. And there’s nothing I love more about about fashion than the challenge of mixing high’s and low’s. I recently got this blue & white pinstriped button down for less than $20 and it’s perfect for a casual summer look or beach vacay. Everyone has their wardrobe items they don’t like to skimp out on. For me that’s almost always denim, shoes, & handbags. In my opinion, these are the things you get the most use/number of wears out of, will outlast multiple seasons, and can be styled many different ways. Speaking of — these black cropped distressed jeans (with a let-out hem– my favorite part) & black leather VINCE slides are also newbies. Both are so comfortable, I definitely plan on living in them this summer.  As for most everything else in my closet, I usually like to go the more affordable route. Since I am the absolute worst at wearing tops, dresses, and any printed pieces more than once or twice (working on that)…I like to buy more affordable pieces for those.

For accessories, the same is true. I like to keep it pretty simple by sticking to my staple pieces (watch, tennis bracelet, diamond earrings, stacked diamond rings) that have special meaning to me. However, I love the occasional statement piece and mixing it up every now & then. A longtime friend of mine started the most beautiful handmade jewelry line called Christine Leigh Texas. Handmade with mixed metals & authentic stones…obsessed. To all of my free spirits out there, this is your girl! The layered stone necklace set I’m wearing here is one of my favorites because I love that you can wear them together or separate! I’m also obsessing over this necklace and these stack rings.
