Now that winter virus season is upon us, I can’t let this time pass without reiterating the importance of educating yourself as a parent about respiratory syncytial virus (#RSV). As many of you know, both of my kids were diagnosed with RSV in 2022. This was hands down the scariest thing we have experienced as parents — and at the time, there were no preventative options available for a broad population of babies! The good news is that now we have Beyfortus (nirsevimab-alip) 50mg and 100mg injection available. #SanofiSponsored

Recently I had the honor of visiting NYC to “Join BeyForces” and speak on a panel with @shawnjohnson (who is amazing btw), sharing our family’s story and connecting with other amazing moms of little ones! Being surrounded by so many amazing creators, some of whom are in the medical field, was both inspiring and empowering.

The scariest part of RSV for me is that, while uncommon, it can turn from cold-like symptoms to hospitalization in less than a week. It’s unpredictable, and I would hate for other parents to be unaware (like we were) about this virus.

New and expecting parents can act now by discussing Beyfortus with their pediatrician or OBGYN and visiting Beyfortus.com for additional information. #BeforeRSV

Beyfortus is a prescription medicine used to help prevent a serious lung disease caused by RSV in newborns and babies under 1 born during or entering their first RSV season, and children up to 24 months who remain at risk of severe RSV disease through their second RSV season.

Beyfortus may not protect all children.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION
Your child should not take Beyfortus if your child has a history of serious allergic reactions to nirsevimab-alip or any of the
ingredients in Beyfortus.
