SeaWorld? You don’t have to ask me twice!! I was so happy to visit this land full of animals, childhood memories, dip-n-dots, and roller coasters (the dolphin show was my fave, shamoo=2nd fave). I know some of you are asking yourselves, what is tomboy chic? If the words cute and comfortable are both at the top of your fashion habits, then this is right up your alley. Tomboy Chic is exactly what it sounds like. A little bit of him and a little bit of her — a masculine look with feminine elements. When going for the Tomboy Chic look similar to mine, start with your graphic t-shirt or sweatshirt and work around that piece. To play it up a little more than I did, look for light weight button downs – tuxedo stripes – pastel prints – loafers – structured bags.
I am and always will be obsessed with everything Wildfox, they can do no wrong. Their take on vintage meets edgey-glam is so fresh and gets me every time. Have you ever laid a hand on one of their garments?? They are so comf and perfect for a day of running errands, shopping, flea market, or in my case walking all over SeaWorld.
For my purse, I opted for a crossbody bag (my trusty Tory). This is one of those feminine elements I talked about earlier. However, it was easy to carry around and kept my look from getting ‘too girly’ (I know, but for todays post..there is such a thing).
I went with these rad One Teaspoon shorts to show a little leg & add a feminine feel.
Although I would’ve loved to layer up on the accessories, I decided to keep it minimal. Obvi I was going to be riding all the rides and lots of loose/dangly doo-dads were not ideal for the occasion.
Converse are my go to comfort shoe. They always give an effortless look to whatever you’re wearing..not to mention comfortable for lots of walking.
What is your opinion on Tomboy Chic? Take a risk, give it a try, and let me know how it turns out for you!
xx,
Sage
