Summer Stripes

If you follow me on instagram or really any form of my social handles, you are well aware of my recent obsession with stripes. It’s like a bad habit. I don’t even know I’m doing it sometimes! Last week was one for the books..shamelessly 6 days in a row of wearing stripes. No joke. If you think I’m kidding, just check out my instagram page

I shot this look last week with Caroline Jurgensen (most amazing photographer) and love the rustic summer vibe this look has. This Rag & Bone tank is beyooooond cozy! I was dying for it since the day it came out and realized after lusting over it for so long it was time for me to just buy it. Guess what though? Lucky for you, it’s on sale now! So get it while you can girlfriend. 4th of July is right around the corner (and this tank would be perf by the way), does anyone have exciting plans? I’m still trying to figure mine out. All I know is that this TX girl is shooting off some fireworks!

P.S. I’ve teamed up with a few other fabul bloggers & retailers for an Instagram giveaway of a lifetime. Over $400 in giveaway items!! Be sure to check out my IG for more details and hurry to enter while it lasts!! Good luck 🙂

Printed with a Pop

I am absolutely obsessed with this new Kate Spade bag of mine. I got it a few weeks ago and have already put it to great use. It’s the most perf pop of color and it literally goes with everything! I was slightly worried the color was so loud that I wouldn’t be able to wear it as much as I would a black or neutral bag, but I was totally wrong. P.S. you’ll be seeing many more posts of me wearing this bag..sorry for in advance for the overload
I hope you’re all having a great week so far! Who’s watching the Belgium vs. USA game today? I will most definitely be watching 🙂 GO USA!!

Father’s Day Gift Guide

Father’s Day is just around the corner y’all! Forgot to get your dad a gift? No worries..I got your back!

If it has slipped your mind OR you’re a last minute shopper like myself, I have put together a quick gift guide for dad 🙂 I love Father’s Day because for one I’m definitely a daddy’s girl, but secondly because it’s an excuse for our family to be all together. This year my brother, sister, & brother-in-law will all be in town to celebrate what an amazing father my dad is. He is so special to all of us and I can’t wait to spend the day with him! We’re starting at Toulouse for brunch (heavenly) and after bottomless momosa’s who knows where the wind will take us. I’m excited for a family fun-filled weekend. Hope you guys are having a good week!

20 Summer Sandals Under $100

It is no doubt that summer is finally here and in full swing. I honestly couldn’t be more excited (even for the 100 degree Texas heat) after the horrible winter we had here in the south! One of my favorite things about summer is wearing comfortable shoes and being able to throw on my sandals for pretty much any occasion. I’ve scoured through all my favorite online shops to show you my favorites for Summer ’14 and guess what?? They’re ALL under $100!!
I personally own a few of these styles and I’m working to obtain the rest before it’s all said and done. How fabulous are all of them? Such a steal for the quality of each. As always, thank you for reading 🙂 Feel free to leave a comment below with your feedback or maybe even your top pick out of these 20.

If you follow along on instagram, you know I was recently in Cabo San Lucas for a close family friends wedding. It was my first time ever vacationing in Cabo and my expectations were far exceeded. The wedding was beyon beautiful, the weather was great, and the company was even better (Sean & Catherine Lowe among many). Obviously there was a lot of playing going on, but I had to squeeze in just a little time for work 🙂
I had the great pleasure of meeting the sweetest photographer ever, Caroline Jurgensen. All of her work absolutely amazes me, so I was extremely excited to partner up with her on this project. We had the best time shooting these pictures for my feature on Inspired by This, so much so that we will be shooting regularly back at home in Dallas now! I will be posting on a more regular basis and my photos will be on another lev. I hope this excites you as much as it does me!
Side note: if you’re looking for an engagement/wedding or infant photographer, she’s the bees knees y’all. See for yourself here
Cabo was a success to say the least. I just love, love. I’m a hopeless romantic, can’t help it! Speaking of love…I’m completely obsessed with this sexy black swimsuit. I’ve been wanting a black one-piece for quite some time now but I wasn’t able to find one I found flattering enough for my body type. The material of this suit has that yummy feel and the cuts are phenom. You can bet I will be wearing this suit all summer long. If you’re looking for a one-piece black swimsuit, get it while you can girlfriend — promise it wont disappoint.
This post is brough to you by Zinke. All thoughts and opinions remain my own.

Hi everyone! Some of you were asking if I could make a post of each individual outfit from my feature on Inspired by This. I was planning to do so already, I just needed to wait for the feature to be posted first on IBT! So here are the deets from this particular look, which is probably my favorite of them all. If you read any of the feature, you know I’m not a fan of boring and my #1 must have in an outfit is comfort.
I’ve always been such a tomboy…no like, I think I wanted to be one of the guys and it was just not okay. I can remember my sister having a talk with me when I was in 6th grade and she was in 8th grade (at the same school) — she told me I needed to start wearing skirts and dresses because it was totally embarassing that I wore my cowboys jersey and spandex biker shorts to school all the time (thank God for sisters).  Although I finally came into my own, I still have major attachment issues to this sort of look. It’s usually my easy go-to because it’s so effortless to put together and gives a cool vibe in my opinion. I love the laid-back-cool-chic look, so I’m always working to perfect it. The older I get the more attracted I am to simple pieces. This Dry Clean Only top designed by Sincerely Jules (available exclusively at Piperlime) is easily one of my favorite graphic tees at the moment. I also have this & this by the same label and they are the coziest tees you’ve ever felt! [[ I’m wearing an XS for sizing reference]]
I’m settled in back at home in Dallas and ready for a fun weekend! Hope you have something fun planned, enjoy 🙂
