If you haven’t seen French Connection’s new Spring 2015 collection, this is what you’ve been missing out on. Above are my favorite picks (hard to even choose because it’s all so dreamy). Can we talk about how amaze this colorful splatter print is? I’ll take one of each style please!
I’m trying to start incorporating more simple staple pieces into my wardrobe & this pastel blue two piece set (top & bottom) are clearly at the top of my wish-list. I’m probably stating the obvious because I’m such a tomboy at heart, but the simplicity of a menswear tailored (2 piece matching) suit is everything to me! Lastly, I’m currently obsessing over these patent Ronan shoe boots that I took with me to a New York Fashion Week and wore in a recent post here. I got so many compliments on these!! If you get them, I recommend going a full size up. Happy Monday loves, thank you for stopping by! XO.
This look: Inspired by the Spring 2015 70’s trend (yes, the 70’s are making a massive comeback). Oddly enough, my parent’s grew up in the 70’s and they despise all of my Jeffrey Campbell shoes haha. You either love or hate them…obvi I happen to love them because they’re so funky/different. Luckily I went on a JC platform streak about 4-5 years ago + I’m a shoe hoarder, so needless to say — I’m not complaining about this trend making a comeback.
I started off NYFW Day 4 attending the Tommy Hilfiger show. Let me just say, getting an invite to this show was a maj moment for me. I remember being at fashion week for the first time back in September and gasping when seeing all the Instagram photos following his SS15 show. Nobody puts on a production quite like Hilfiger does..it was literally an indoor football stadium using the field as his runway. Genius! From varsity motifs to classic All-American sportswear…this show was perfection. Little did I know, things would only get better that afternoon when I got to have cocktails & mingle with Mr & Mrs Hilfiger at the Dee Ocleppo handbag event/cocktail party (if you follow me on instagram — you know how bad I was geeking out).
P.S. This day was the most mild (if you can imagine that) but my ears literally felt like they were going to fall off. Mad props to the local’s that endure that weather for as long as they do.
Happy Monday Y’all!! A quick post on another casual look I wore during fashion week. If you can’t tell, comfort is a key component for me. These jeans are the most comfortable jeans EVER…I’m not even kidding, they feel like you’re wearing sweatpants. I’ve had them for over a year (the knee hole is from natural distress), but lucky for you they still exist. If you’re going to purchase a single pair of boyfriend jeans, these would be my recommendation. I promise you will want to live in them!!
Justin (my photographer) told me I looked like a mobster, but I love everything about this look….actually one of my favorites thus far. It’s boyish, but a little feminine at the same time. P.S. these new French Connection patent booties of mine are the bomb. I can think of a million ways I’m going to style them and can’t wait to show y’all. More looks from fashion week to come and a re-cap of my trip to the Dominican Republic later this week. Happy Monday! xx
Wanderlust; Maybe I’m just at that age or that point in my life, but it consumes me and I feel like there couldn’t have been a better setting to portray this state of mind I’ve been in. I’ve always loved change, travel, meeting new people, getting out of my comfort zone, spontaneity…but it’s increasingly giving me more direction as I continue to grow as a woman. I have daily urges to be adventurous, branch out, discover, create, and travel the world. Obviously circumstances & logic don’t always align with your sudden urges, but I’m working to make that a reality. And I will.
This is my second look from Day 5 that we shot spur of the moment outside our hotel before I was off to the Lupe Gujardo show. This dress is by Sachin & Babi (big thanks to Bollare PR) , and it’s easily becoming one of my new favorite lines. The quality is top-notch and the price is affordable if you’re looking for a special occasion cocktail look or even to add an investment statement piece to your closet (important for wardrobe upkeep)! P.S. Check out the Sachin & Babi full Spring 15 Line to see all their amazing new designs!!
As always, thank you for stopping by! Would love to hear what you think of this look below! XO.

Yes, I’m really throwing it back to Jay-Z and Alicia Key’s song Empire State of Mind. Out of serious coincidence I heard a cover of this song as I was headed to the airport for NYFW, but it was an acoustic version and really had me dissecting the lyrics. I don’t want to get too deep here because this blog is to share my personal style with you and hopefully motivate you to take fashion risks…but it wasn’t until just recently that I started doing what I truly have a passion for and that’s styling, creating, working in the fashion industry, and inspiring others. I have to agree that Jay-Z & Alicia Keys….New York is a place where dreams are made and you leave feeling inspired, like theres nothing you can’t do.
A little challenge for you…ask yourself what you’re truly passionate about in life. If you aren’t already incorporating this into your daily routine, I encourage you to find a way and make that happen. Life is too short to be living other people’s dreams. It’s time to start creating your own! xx
Hi! I hope you are all having a great Monday! Sharing a quick look I wore during NYFW. We literally shot this in 10 minutes because it was SO freaking cold! We loved how this striped accent wall matched my striped top. Stripes are classic and always something great to keep in your wardrobe, especially in neutral colors. Try switching from the horizontal stripes to vertical stripes this spring season, it’s so flattering on the body!
Have a great day everyone! As always, thanks for stopping by! XO.
