Wanderlust;  Maybe I’m just at that age or that point in my life, but it consumes me and I feel like there couldn’t have been a better setting to portray this state of mind I’ve been in. I’ve always loved change, travel, meeting new people, getting out of my comfort zone, spontaneity…but it’s increasingly giving me more direction as I continue to grow as a woman. I have daily urges to be adventurous, branch out, discover, create, and travel the world. Obviously circumstances & logic don’t always align with your sudden urges, but I’m working to make that a reality. And I will.

This is my second look from Day 5 that we shot  spur of the moment outside our hotel before I was off to the Lupe Gujardo show. This dress is by Sachin & Babi (big thanks to Bollare PR) , and it’s easily becoming one of my new favorite lines. The quality is top-notch and the price is affordable if you’re looking for a special occasion cocktail look or even to add an investment statement piece to your closet (important for wardrobe upkeep)! P.S. Check out the Sachin & Babi full Spring 15 Line to see all their amazing new designs!!

As always, thank you for stopping by!  Would love to hear what you think of this look below! XO.

Yes, I’m really throwing it back to Jay-Z and Alicia Key’s song Empire State of Mind.  Out of serious coincidence I heard a cover of this song as I was headed to the airport for NYFW, but it was an acoustic version and really had me dissecting  the lyrics. I don’t want to get too deep here because this blog is to share my personal style with you and hopefully motivate you to take fashion risks…but it wasn’t until just recently that I started doing what I truly have a passion for and that’s styling, creating, working in the fashion industry, and inspiring others. I have to agree that Jay-Z & Alicia Keys….New York is a place where dreams are made and you leave feeling inspired, like theres nothing you can’t do.

A little challenge for you…ask yourself what you’re truly passionate about in life. If you aren’t already incorporating this into your daily routine, I encourage you to find a way and make that happen. Life is too short to be living other people’s dreams. It’s time to start creating your own! xx

Hi! I hope you are all having a great Monday! Sharing a quick look I wore during NYFW. We literally shot this in 10 minutes because it was SO freaking cold! We loved how this striped accent wall matched my striped top. Stripes are classic and always something great to keep in your wardrobe, especially in neutral colors. Try switching from the horizontal stripes to vertical stripes this spring season, it’s so flattering on the body!

Have a great day everyone! As always, thanks for stopping by! XO.

NYFW Day 1 was so exciting. We got in pretty late the night before around 1am, but nothing could keep me from waking up early for a week of fashion in New York (even with a windchill of -13 degrees). If you know me, you know I hate the cold and will whine like a 3 year when it’s cold out…but you would also know that I couldn’t be more obsessed with 2 things. 1) New York  2) Fashion. A week straight of my fave combo.

This look was from the Mara Hoffman show and her designs are always fun, loud, bold, & colorful…so I wore these pastel leopard print pants to stand out against all the black in this outfit. Thank the LORD my mom lent me some of her coats for Fashion Week because I seriously would’ve froze to death. No joke, coldest I’ve ever been. More looks to come where this black wool trench was a life saver. Thanks momma C!

Happy Valentine’s Day y’all!!

If you follow me via Instagram, you know I’ve made my way to NYC for Fashion Week! We arrived late last night and couldn’t be more excited to tackle this week of chaos, adventure, inspiration, and fun. As I do my best to make myself believe I’m not THAT cold in these record setting temps of NYC, I’ll be mentally escaping back to my recent getaway in the Dominican Republic.

First, the resort was amazing. If you ever go to the Dominican Republic..make sure you stay at the Campo de Casa resort. Service was on point and the amenities are incredible. I was there for a close family friends wedding and decided to wear this LRD (little red dress). I originally got it for New Year’s Eve, but couldn’t resist against the most perfect bustier I found last minute (here).  So I decided to save this number for the beach wedding and it turned out to be one of my favorite looks. The wedding attire was dressy cocktail (fancier/more conservative than your average beach wedding), but the fun color & side cutouts were acceptable for the occasion because we were at the beach. The cobblestone walkways made it a little difficult to walk in these Stuart Weitzman nudist heels, but the sacrifice was totally worth it.

P.S. need investment pieces for Spring? These Stuart Weitzman nudist heels will be on repeat for me. I love the simplicity, femininity, and elegance of these and they come in a variety of colors. I chose nude because I’m obsessed with neutrals and they make your legs look longer!

If you aren’t already, follow me on Instagram for live updates from fashion week! I’m off to meetings and the Mara Hoffman show this afternoon. Stay tuned & have a happy v-day!

XOXO,

Sage

Where are all my single ladies?!?!

I know what you’re thinking…single?? Valentine’s day?? Ughhh.

Well, if I’m being completely honest…..I was thinking the same for the past month as I looked back and realized I haven’t been single on Valentine’s Day for the past 10+ years (…yikes, sounds even worse when I type it out). So I got to talking with one of my sweet friends Brooke of One Small Blonde and realized that this holiday isn’t only about your boyfriend sending you flowers or surprising you with a weekend getaway — it’s about showing the people you love, well….some love!

So this past weekend some of my favorite dallas bloggers <<One Small BlondeAccessory JaneSide Smile StyleThe Perennial StyleStyle Summary>> and I threw our first ever GALentine’s Day party. It was the most fun, girly-girl thing I’ve done in quite some time and something I very much needed! As you can tell from the photos, we had so much fun writing love notes (to each other, duh), eating the most delicious treats, gossiping, and sipping on champs (per usual).

If you’re thinking about throwing a GALentine’s Day party of your own, it’s oh so simple and this is what you’ll need:

1)A group of really fun girlfriends that aren’t afraid to wear PINK

2) Sweets & treats that will send you on the biggest sugar high

3) Champagne that will knock your socks off

4) Love cards with fun sayings on them like these from Michelle Chanel Creative

And voila! Girls are actually pretty easy & simple if you ask me 😉

See, these are the things you miss out on when you have a significant other in your life….haha just kidding, you married ladies could still throw your own version of a GALentine’s Day party! However, if you are in fact single this year I strongly encourage a soiree of this nature. Let’s be real…sitting and sulking at home will do you no good. So put your big girl panties on, gather all your besties, and spread the LOVE this v-day!! Who’s in??

XOXO,

Sage
