Another pair of printed shorts? Duh. This has been my summer go-to. So easy to throw on with a basic plain tee and your favorite pair of little black booties for the perfect day look, but they can also be dressed up with a simple/sexy black pump and & leather jacket if you’re taking this look into the night. This is a very simple, yet chic look that every gal should learn to nail. Oh and these babies aren’t going anywhere. Def staying in my closet for the fall…because where I live, we can usually wear shorts until the end of october. What items are you keeping in your closet for the fall season?
As you can tell, this girldidn’t go anywhere without her vail and wishing wand in hand. This day was such a fun girly day! Before we got started on lingerie party festivities we all walked to brunch at a cute little local spot called Barok. The decor was to diiiie for and the food was so amaze….oh and my bloody mary was the best I’ve ever had! After lot’s of food, laughs, and full tummy’s (perf for a beach day, right?) we made our way back to the hotel. While my mom & I prepped for the lingerie party later that evening, the rest of the crew made a head-turning appearance walking through the pool area to the beach. You should’ve seen it…people were googoo gaga over the bachelorette’s entire gettup, but who wouldn’t be? How precious is the little bride tutu my mom made lex (DIY queen if you didn’t catch on already)? I told her she needs to start a little etsy store of all the fab things she makes and ideas she comes up with. She would kill it. In other news, I shot some super cute looks with a good friend of mine last week and I can’t wait to share those with you this week. Happy Monday y’all!
I’m not even going to lie. I feel like such a trader posting about my recent obsession with rose gold, but I can’t help it. I’ve fought it for some time now (yellow gold hoarder) and I just can’t contain it anymore! Some of my favorite designers like Gorjana, Henri Bendel, & Rebecca Minkoff are making their rose gold mark this season and I.want.it.all.
I have found that Shopbop (one of my all time fav online shops) has the largest variety to choose from, but lucky for you I have included the links to all of these items above.
I’ve acquired a few of these items (5,8,10,11) and I’m on a mission for the remaining! When you think rose gold don’t limit yourself to jewelry only! Although the jewelry is prob the best investment, some of the most fab rose gold pieces are those other than jewelry. Rebecaa Minkoff, always on point with the latest trends, went HAM on rose gold this season. The exciting part? Rose gold became extra hot this summer, but this (like head-to-toe white) is another one of those summer to fall trends. We can take all of these fabulous pieces straight into fall. It’s not goin anywhere sister!
One of the hottest trends this spring/summer has been ‘all white everything’. How fitting for our bride-to-be on her bachelorette weekend? When my sister (alexa/lex/miney) came to me and asked if I would style her for her bachelorette weekend in Miami, I had the most fab ideas brewing in my head. Suddenly it dawned on me..she’s the bride, we want her to stand out, she’s awlays looked incredible in every shade of white, hellooo…WHITE OUT weekend for this bridal babe. Done and done.
So that she did, starting the weekend off right in this stunning maxi dress. White doesnt have to be boring people! The pleats on this girl add some exciting texture and volume.
Because day one was full of airports, taxi’s, drinks and a mini reunion with all of her bridesmaids… I wanted to put her in something that was practical, yet comfortably chic (always). Sometimes we don’t appreciate how entirely refreshing a trend is until trying it first hand. We. Plead. Guilty.
The best part about it? Head-to-toe white is a go-to look year round, so you can carry your white summer staples straight into fall. Keep reading this week for more jaw dropping moments from an unforgettable weekend!
I know what you’re thinking…cutest lingerie party ever! Ok..maybe you aren’t, but I just can’t help myself. I love how all the decor turned out and the pictures for memories’ sake are even better!! I know I went all out, but I don’t like to do anything half a**…especially when it comes to once in a lifetime events– like throwing my sister a lingerie shower at her bachelorette party. And maybe your next question is..how in the world did you pull this off in Miami? I’m not going to lie..it wasn’t easy, but we made it happen. I took all of the tissue tassel in a hanging garment bag and carried it on the plane so they didn’t get all krinkled. My mom made the amazing cups… aren’t they the cutest?
The invitations were made by The Barrtique on Etsy. She has such a cute selection of invitations for
different occasions, so be sure to check her out if you have some planning to do in the near future! I had her change up my invite a little bit according to what our weekend schedule was like. Do you love or do you love?
The ‘Kissing Station’ was for every bridesmaid to bring her favorite lipstick, layer it on her lips and make a wish to the bride & groom as they kissed the piece of paper above their name. After I frame it in a shadow box and give it to lex as a gift from her bridesmaids, I will share the final result!
The tassel garland (hanging banner & tails on the balloons) and the cupcake toppers were all made by yours truly. I am considering making a DIY post on how I did both of these, any takers? I hope you enjoy the pictures from this party as much as we do. I’ve been working on a post for how I styled the bride-to-be in all white this past weekend. Stay tuned for more from Miami!
Ok, so how fab is this little pink bow dress? I am in love for two reasons. One because this HOT pink color is so bright it could blind you, and secondly because the designer of this dress is Sage. I got this as a gift from one of my girlfriends for my birthday last month and was shocked to find that tag that read ‘Sage’. Even better, my friend had absolutely no idea until I opened the gift that this was the case. She only got it for me because she saw it on the mannequin at this cute little boutique (Blush in Norman) and said “omg, that’s so Sage..I have to get it for her for her bday”. What a perfect match :). I love all of the dresses from this line and will now be a relentless buyer for obvious reasons.
Speaking of my birthday (I know, it’s been too long since my last post) I had a couple people that caught my Polyvore bday wish list drift. This amazing clutch…. c/o my stylish bf – Dane (thanks babe) was my fav. I have been dying for an excuse to wear this number ever since the cute little care package arrived at my door. Although the dress was so perfectly loud, the clutch steals the show in this getup. The leopard print really pops on a solid bright background. Obsessed, obsessed, obsessed! Enough about me though, the real reason we were in Miami was for my beautiful sisters bachelorette party. I was the Maid of Honor and had SO much fun planning her weekend trip to Miami. We had a party of 10 and things got wild of course. I styled my sister in all white the entire weekend (literally). Stay tuned this week for more fun posts from Miami babyyy.
