Say hello to my recent go-to look…cut offs and sneakers. Oh, and add sweatshirts to this combo as well. I love the effortless look of pairing your denim cut offs and sneakers with a range of different tops to still achieve a pulled together outfit during the Spring/Summer.
Spring is in full swing now and my favorite thing about this time of year is by far the flowers! From filling my home with fresh blooms each week, to finding the perfect floral scents for Spring…flowers are extra heavy on the mind this time of year. Is there anything better than seeing the wildflowers bloom in open fields and peonies being in season?!
Finding a dress to wear to a Spring wedding can actually be quite easy and simple. Of course the typical floral maxi dress will work, but if you’re over the usual like I am…here’s another idea. After attending a Spring wedding the past weekend, I chose a fitted shimmer midi dress for a more sophisticated-sexy look. The thicker material of this dress gives a great amount of shape to the body and the oversize waved hemline makes for a fun unexpected detail! While you’re never trying to steal any spotlight from the bride (is that even possible?), you still don’t want to look like the other 3 women seated at your table….
I’ve always been a fan of rompers because I think they’re so flattering for every body (see this post here on rompers for different body types), but I’m especially loving the vertical striped romper at the moment. With warm weather in full swing, rompers are usually the easiest thing for me to throw on and get on the door. This striped romper in particular though is currently a favorite for a few reasons; it’s under $100, the high neck + cinched waist combined with vertical stripes is slimming on the bod, and it can easily go from day to night with a swap of shoes…
Everyone has their own things they like to splurge on, but for me it’s typically handbags, shoes, denim, and t-shirts (in that order). My reasoning for why these are my splurge items is because they are the most practical wardrobe pieces for my lifestyle and what I know I will be getting the most use out of. Whenever I am doing wardrobe consulting, I always ask my client what a typical day looks like for them in terms of their career, hobbies, and lifestyle because this is definitely something to consider when looking at what to splurge and save on!
For me, I spend a lot of my time either on the go or working from home. Let’s be real…my preference has always been first and foremost COMFORT but with this type of working lifestyle, being comfortable and casual is even more of a priority in my wardrobe. And although I see each of these as splurge worthy items, I don’t always wear them all at once. In fact, one of my favorite things to do when getting dressed is to make something cheap look expensive because I see it as a challenge. Anyone can wear full designer looks every day and look incredible right?
Over the last couple years I’ve really been into trying out new skincare products and seeing what kind of results they deliver for my skin. If you’ve been following my journey, you know I’ve been very transparent about my skincare and the various measures I have taken to help aid in my efforts to achieve beautiful skin. One of these has been topical skincare products and today I want to share one of my recent favorites with you guys called Vivo Per Lei.
