3 Investment Pieces to Update Your Spring Uniform

When it comes to everyday style, I definitely have a uniform. In the Spring/Summer my casual go-to is denim shorts, muscle tank or tee, and a lightweight cardigan to layer over if needed. Here are three investment pieces I recently bought to update your Spring uniform…

1. LIGHTWEIGHT CARDIGAN : It’s always nice to have one of a lightweight cardigan to throw over your shoulders on a chilly night or windy day. I’m loving the peachy nude color of this gauze hooded cardigan. Even though it’s made of cotton it’s fairly thin and still a super light layering piece!

2. MUSCLE TEE TANK : I can’t have enough muscle tee tanks for Spring/Summer. I love that this one is cut pretty high on the neck and the material is sooo soft. This is one of my favorite lines for t-shirts (as you guys have heard me mention 100 times before). I’m also digging the length on this muscle tee tank because you can wear it with a half tuck or completely untucked for 2 different looks. If you’re going to invest in any muscle tank that will last for years to come, get one in a solid color made of quality material! I can’t even count how many times I’ve already worn this tank since buying it last month, so I know I’ll get good use out of it the rest of Spring/Summer and even into Fall.

3. DENIM SHORTS : Don’t get me wrong, I’m all about buying the $50 pair of denim shorts because I have a handful myself. But during Spring/Summer I like to add at least one investment pair because I know I wear them constantly this time of year. These denim shorts with the released hem have that super soft worn in feeling and I like that even though they’re on the shorter side in the front, they’re longer in the back. Also…they aren’t super stretchy or tight! I am wearing a size 26 here and probably could’ve gone with a 25, but I loved the oversized looked having them sit more down on my hips.
