Friday Five: 5 Shoes You NEED For Fall

  1. Embellished Boots – studded, glitter, rhinestone, appliques…if it’s on a shoe, you should rock it this season. These Givenchy buckle booties are everything. I mean…how freakin’ badass are they? After debating for an entire year, I finally splurged on them recently and I have zero buyers remorse. Not that I get that often, but you know…I feel good about this purchase ūüėČ I’ve already got so much use out of them and we’re¬†still in the upper 90 degree temps here in Houston, but I can only imagine the wear they will get this Fall/Winter. I have them packed for NYFW (obvi). P.S. if ¬†you prefer to spend less, I found the most amazing dupe of these boots HERE.
  2. Block Heels¬†– It’s no surprise this is a huge trend after seeing it all over the runway last season. When I saw the gold metallic block loafer heel at the Tommy Hilfiger show last year, I knew there would be a ton of similar styles made. And I love that it’s coming in all sorts of shapes & size from the mini mule sandal & sleek suede booties to the clunky luxe platforms & simple strappy heels. Let’s be real though, the best thing about this trend is the COMFORT and y’all already know…..I’m¬†more than about that life. This pair of blush suede Gucci loafer block heels are definitely on my wish list.
  3. Menswear Inspired Oxfords – I love borrowing from the boys and mixing masculine elements into a feminine look. This season the menswear inspiration is all in the details, so leave it to your shoes to do the talking. I just picked up this pair of Marc Fisher black pointy toe leather¬†oxfords and I’m obsessed. The sleek silhouette &¬†lace up detail adds the perfect sexy touch…and just like any other Marc Fisher shoe,¬†they are beyond comfortable!
  4. Luxe Metallic Loafers –¬†Typically I’m not drawn to metallic shoes because I think they can look cheap at times.¬†I have said this before and I’ll say it again…. I love scoring a good deal on anything in my wardrobe, but shoes & handbags are not one of them¬†(unless high quality vintage). ¬†Which is why I have included this pair of¬†silver metallic gucci loafers¬†in this roundup. Gucci is absolutely crushing it right now, I want it all!!
  5. Thigh High Boots – in past seasons it has been ‘over-the-knee boots’ but now we have moved on to bigger (literally) & better things. You are going to see these everywhere throughout¬†Fall/Winter 2016 and you’ll be wishing you had a pair yourself! I bought the 50/50 Stuart Weitzman over the knee boots two years ago and¬†that was my best purchase of 2014, so I think I’ll trust my instincts again and¬†purchase these suede thigh high boots¬†ASAP.
