Jumpsuit & Sneakers

nyfw-ss16-street-styleOh my, I know it’s been forever but I hope y’all are ready for post overload because I have lots of content I’m super excited to share with y’all  in the upcoming weeks. Particularly all the photos from my trip to New York Fashion Week this month and a few other weekend trips! This look was from the third day of NYFW, but I’m sharing it with you first because I love the way this look came together and also because the floral dress I’m wearing (that doubles as an open cardigan by the way) is almost sold out and only has a few sizes left!

I must mention though, jumpsuits (similar to the one I’m wearing here) were all over the runway for SS16. This one I’m wearing is so affordable that you’d be silly to pass it up. It’s a classic color and can be styled many different ways. Plus, how sexy is the low cut front/back/sides? (don’t worry..I wore my double stick fashion tape!) I played up the look a bit with a fun sneaker and matching purse pom pom, because well..for one I needed comfortable shoes to walk around the city in and two, because I had just got these Kate Spade x Keds adorable red velvet sneakers in the mail and I couldn’t resist!

Funny story:  There was a lady decked out in designer goods standing outside the show that pulled me aside and said, “Mam..I love that jumpsuit, do you mind telling me who makes it?” The look on her face when I said Forever 21 was absolutely priceless! Something you may or may not know is that the challenge of mixing high’s & low’s is a passion of mine. I mean…what fun would it be without fooling people?
