H is for Hilfiger. Yes, as in TOMMY HILFIGER. Never in a million years did I think when  living in Tommy Hilfiger’s classic red, white, & blue as a kid that I’d be rocking the hell out of it when I was in my mid-late 20’s…until it was my very first fashion week {in NY} Fall 2014 and I died over his rock n’ roll spring 2015 collection. The show was a stunner of it’s own (unfortunately I lived this one vicariously through some blogger friends on Instagram but the 30th anniversary show I got to see at NYFW in February was just as jaw-dropping), but the collection was everything I’d been craving in fashion at the time.

This was actually very eye opening for me…because it’s so easy to get caught up in what’s super trendy at the moment or the next biggest thing, but more often than not there’s nothing better than take-me-back-to-my-roots kind of fashion. {classic, all-american, sporty, comfortable, tomboy} that’s my shit. You will rarely see me sacrifice comfort for fashion trends and in the case of Tommy Hilfiger’s pieces, I know that’s never an issue. Speaking of comfortable fashion..these chambray shorts are so soft they feel like lounge shorts and this navy ‘H’ sweater is so cozy. It’s the easiest thing to throw over a tank top, wrap around your waist, or throw over your shoulders {tied} in the summer for a more preppy look. I literally felt like I was in my pj’s shooting this look…and if I’m being completely honest, I’ve worn both pieces at least 5 times each since I’ve had them the past month!

This post is brought to you by Tommy Hilfiger. All thoughts and opinions remain my own.
